Jade's Gift Foundation

Bryan Raines, who used to create a webcomic called Into the V.A.S.T., was one of the first people in the webcomic community I got to know a little online when I started Lindemannade, and he's always seemed like a good, genuine guy. He disappeared online for several months though to support his loved ones when going through some tough times and reappeared on New Year's Eve with a message none of us wanted to hear.

His fiancé's daughter Jade, his step-daughter to be, whom he'd posted some touching photos with online previously, was born with Cerebral Palsy. In a heartbreaking start to the new year we learnt that she had sadly passed away a month earlier. BUT, out of this terrible loss, the family are trying to start something good in honour of Jade's memory.

Jade's Gift Foundation is a charity they are hoping to set up to essentially give whatever help they can to ease the burdens of families of children with severe disabilities. It might sound a little ambitious, but I've seen the internet rally around great causes before so who knows where they can go with this, but I can say any donation you do give I'm certain will be put to the best of use.
